Right, so last week my friend hosted a Body Shop party as her sister has recently started working for them, I had such a lovely night gossiping, being silly and eating way too much party food! As well as this I did actually manage to squeeze in a bit of shopping (as always) and I bought the Almond hand a nail cream and also the vitamin C facial scrub and primer. After only 3 working days my things were delivered and I got to pick them up today (Yay!). On to my Givenchy bits, anyone that knows me knows that I swear by Givenchy and almost all of their beauty products, I'm a firm believer in spending that little bit extra on beauty products after all you are plastering it all over your face for the world to see. Instead of just grabbing my usual foundation the girl persuaded me to try a different one, though i'll go into more detail about that in a little while and after being told off about taking off my make up with wipes I thought i'd get the make up remover too.
Body shop - Almond hand & nail cream
A girl I work with has this in her handbag 24/7 and completely swears by this product, so I thought why not lets give it a whirl and I have to say I love it and it won't ever be leaving my handbag either! First of all the smell is gorgeous, but i've found that with a lot of hand creams and lotions they take forever to sink into your skin making it awkward to do anything immediately after application, although this sinks in so quickly its wonderful, you can apply and carry on with whatever else you were doing without having slimey hands
Vitamin C skin primer - Body Shop
Vitamin C facial exfoliant - Body Shop
I bought both of these from the Vitamin C range at the Body Shop and they both smell of delicious oranges. I have been in search of the perfect primer ever since I tried one of smashbox's primers, and fell totally head over heels in love, but not with the hefty price tag, especially after I purchased one and it was gone within a month and a half! So anyway I'm gonna give this one a go and try and keep you guys updated on how I get on.
Also from the vitamin C range I got a facial scrub. It sounds kinda gross but I love love love really gritty facial scrubs, they make your face tingle and they feel like they're really working which I think products should do, I like to feel like they're working before I see that they are. After playing with this one at the party I knew I had to have it, as a lot of the facial scrubs i've been trying recently just haven't been cutting the mustard!
Eclat Matissime in Mat Honey 5 - Givenchy at Debenhams
Okay so I decided to give my beloved Photo Perfection a miss for a month, or maybe more, for the Eclat Matissime. Both foundations are SPF 20 and don't have a very heavy consistency. I personally don't like a heavy foundation and they always make me feel really sweaty and like I need a good wash, although I have been quite lucky to be blessed with a pretty even complexion although a lot of the girls I know like a heavier foundation with a really good coverage and for that I would recommend Givenchy's Teint Couture which my best friend swears by after I converted her to being a Givenchy-a-holic! My skin isn't very oily at all, I do actually get quite a dry t-zone which can be a big problem with a lot of foundations but as this is such a creamy liquid it also kind of moisturises. Anyway I'm completely babbling now, I'm thinking maybe after I've used this one a few times I'll do a post comparing the two?
Has anyone else got a favourite foundation? Or like me have a favourite beauty brand?
Skin Drink - Givenchy at Debenhams
After being told off by the lady on the beauty counter for using make up wipes to take off my make up I thought I'd better give this stuff a go and I've just tried it for the first time. It smells clean if that makes sense, it has all that smelly chemically goodness that you can tell is completely washing all the rubbish off your face. This is part of their hydrosparkling collection made up of lots of other lovely skincare goodies. I already swear by their moisturiser which I applied straight after using this to take my make up off this evening and my face now feels and smells like a babys (clean) bottom.
Thanks for reading guys, any questions just ask!!

I love the Skin Revive from the Body Shop, it's one of my favourite every day products! I'm definitely going to try the Facial Cleanse Polish too!
